While one of the hottest reunions of the year, Soundgarden has yet to schedule anything. In fact, following the New Year’s Day announcement, the band remains quiet, only unleashing a new site and popping up in just about every festival message board chatting up about rumors (Coachella, anyone?). Now, it seems like we might just get the first concrete date of the year.

According to both the Welwyn Hatfield Times 24 and eFestivals.co.uk, the Seattle grunge rockers are rumored to appear at Sonisphere, the Knebworth, England festival that sees 80,000 music fans annually. They won’t be alone, either. In fact, if the rumor holds true, Soundgarden would be topping the bill alongside Iron Maiden and German pyromaniacs Rammstein. If that’s not enough, the three-day festival, which takes place from July 30th to August 1st, will also include Alice Cooper, Placebo, Slayer, Anthrax, Papa Roach, The Cult, Mötley Crüe, and Iggy & The Stooges.

In other words, if this rings true… not too shabby of a line up. That is, if you’re into hard rock.
