Sad news to report: We’ll be without our favorite feather-wearing frontman for the foreseeable future. Yes, boys and girls, Brandon Flowers and his Killers compadres have announced that they’ll be taking a hiatus following their upcoming show in Melbourne, Australia on February 21st.
“I’m not sure if people are aware of it but these are probably our last shows for a while. Unless some surprise thing comes up… We’re having a break,” guitarist Dave Keuning told the Associated Press (via Strangeglue).
“We haven’t had a break in quite a while. It’s just been touring and making records and on and on and on. It’s been like six years just kind of connected together.”
Keuning neither gave a timetable for when the band might return, nor noted what this means for the supposed forthcoming covers album. Sigh.
