Alright kiddies, it’s that time of year again! And it’s about time we started doing leg stretches, jogging, and building stamina in preparation for the wild disco radical trans-global gypsy outfit known only as Gogol Bordello rolling through our home towns. In support of their undoubtedly spectacular fifth studio album, Transcontinental Hustle, Eugene Hutz and his gang of Multi-Kontra misfit musicians have finally added a chunk of U.S. dates to their upcoming Casa Gogol Tour!

The Casa Gogol Tour holds many surprises for us this spring. Kicking off in New York, as per usual, Carnegie Hall will catch a first glimpse of these baddies in action for a Tibet House benefit concert featuring the likes of Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, and Regina Spektor. From there, Gogol Bordello will dance and wiggle their way through countries spreading their supertheory of supereverything as an exciting array of special guests hop in on the action along the way. Set to open on the North American leg are fellow gypsy punk rockers DeVotchka, trickster Jesse Malin and his mischievous band the St. Marks Social, along with the legendary Tres Leches Afterparty Soundcrew. Then Mariachi El Bronx, and the festive high-energy duo Matt & Kim who according to Hutz “brang it so hard with us in Poland our friendship was destined in the stars,” will join the party for the UK and Europe dates.

As for Transcontinental Hustle itself, information is sparse. Produced by Rick Rubin and expected sometime this spring, we can surely expect a mélange of styles with an emphasis on more indigenous Brazilian sounds; briefly illustrated during select performances throughout the country last year. While the date remains unset, you can expect to see “Gogol’s house coming direct to your state of being”; tickets for which will be on sale soon.

Look below for the recently added U.S. dates or head over to their homebase for a complete map of the Casa Gogol Tour. And in the words of the almighty Hutz himself remember, “Do not rest until you have yours.”
