When the hype machine heats up, stand aside, folks. As expected, Paul McCartney‘s forthcoming tour, aptly titled Up and Coming, is one hot ticket and, naturally, a few more dates have been added. These are quite unexpected, too. While Macca’s return to the Hollywood Bowl raised some ears (a second date’s even been added), his journey into Miami, FL and Puerto Rico should yank those eyeballs from the sockets. Surprisingly, he hasn’t visited the sunshine state since ’05, and what’s even more unbelievable, he’s never performed in Puerto Rico… as in ever.
Fans should expect more dates like these to pop up in the near-future. As to what to expect on-stage, McCartney’s press list promises just as many surprises:
There will be some never-before-played-on-US-soil songs added to the set list, as well as the US live premiere of ‘(I Want To) Come Home’, Paul’s Golden Globe nominated track from the Robert De Niro movie ‘Everybody’s Fine’.
If you recall last year’s run, the ol’ Fab one sure as hell put together one stunning set list. One can only be so excited to see what’s up his sleeves this year. Fingers crossed that Wrigley happens. Seriously.
