Grammy winning producer/musician Mark Ronson recently revealed details about his upcoming studio album, The Business, to NME. So what can we expect?
For one thing, there will be lots of guests. Over the years, Ronson has been continually tapped to produce high-profile albums, including recent work with Duran Duran, Wale, Adele, Daniel Merriweather, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, and the Kaiser Chiefs. That trend will continue on his next full-length effort, as Ronson is currently working on new material with Dave McCabe of The Zutons and Nick Hodgson of Kaiser Chief. Other collaborators will include Santigold, the Scissor Sisters, Cathy Dennis, Pill, and Miike Snow.
However, this time around, the album will consist entirely of new material. Unlike his 2007’s album Version, The Business will abide by a strict ”no covers and no horns” policy.
In summary, expect a bit of both new and old. The album due for a late-spring/summer release.
