With Slash‘s high-profile album Slash set for release this April, and after performing at the Grammy Awards with T-Pain, Jamie Foxx, and Doug E. Fresh, fans have been left pondering if and when the guitar legend will hit the road to promote his release. And with an album featuring an array of amazing vocalists and musicians, Slash’s decisions on a touring band will be vital when taking his songs on the road.

With one tour date already announced, 2010’s Rock on the Range, fans should pull out their tattered GNR shirts and get ready for some amazing shredding, as Slash has also started to reveal details about an upcoming US tour. Though given his admittedly awful vocals, Slash has recruited Alter Bridge lead singer Myles Kennedy to front the band, which makes sense considering they’ve both played on each other’s solo efforts. As for the rest of the band, Slash stated via his MySpace that further members will be announced shortly.

Fans can expect plenty of oldies, too. According to Slash’s fansite, the top hat guitarist reported that “there will be GNR, VR, Snakepit songs on the tour,” in addition to new material and even some tracks from Alter Bridge and Myles Kennedy. This all sounds like a sweaty rocker’s dream show, but currently there is one major issue: There’s yet to be an announcement of any cities and dates.

As always, we will keep our ears to the ground, and when we hear the reverb of a Slash announcement, CoS readers will be the first to know.
