Couldn’t make it to Toronto? Can’t afford a trip to Austin? Yet, like most everyone, you’re dying to see The White Stripes’ new Emmett Malloy-directed documentary film, Under Great White Northern Lights? Don’t fret, because good ol’ Jack and his big sister Meg have announced plans to bring the film to you and just about everyone else.
Beginning Friday, February 26th in Seattle and Toronto, the film will be making its way across North America for a series of special screenings. Most every major metropolitan area will be getting a piece of the action over the course of the next three weeks, including several Canadian cities. After all, there would be no film with out Canada! What’s more, AMC Theaters will be holding special midnight screenings of the film on Thursday, March 11th. So you’ll have an excuse to stay up late. Find out when and where the screenings will be held below.
Under Great White Northern Lights will be released on DVD beginning March 16th. On that day, the band is also encouraging fans to “Be a Part of the Tour” by purchasing a special screening kit and turning your house into viewing party. That is, if you have enough money left over from your box set buy.
