Performance artist/musician Laurie Anderson, fresh off of a performance of new piece “Delusion” at the Winter Olympics, is ready to make another mark in 2010. As reported by Pitchfork, the “O Superman” singer is releasing her first studio album since 2001’s Life on a String. The album, Homeland, comes out June 15th on Nonesuch.

Homeland‘s production credits go to Roma Baran and husband Lou Reed, along with Anderson, who also plays violin, keyboard, percussion, and sings. The collaborations will likely be trippy; Four Tet guests on keys, while Antony Hegarty (of Antony & the Johnsons) contributes vocals to the LP. There will also be several jazz guests, including a collaboration with avant-garde jazz saxophonist John Zorn. Anderson is known for her live spectacle as much as anything, but this album should be interesting.

Speaking of her live spectacle, Anderson performs “Delusion” in Europe a few more times before bringing the show back to the States. She and Reed are also curating the Vivid Live Festival at the Sydney Opera House this summer.
