Ryan Adams completes Blackhole record

Despite his forthcoming metal record, Ryan Adams still appears focused on his acclaimed alt-rock sound, as evident by a recent status update on his Facebook.

Last Saturday Adams wrote, “Congrats Jamie C… After 4 years of production work we finished the infmous never-ending BLACKHOLE Record tonight! What a trip! Big love to the Candyman… WOOP WOOP ( or woot wut or something one of those kind of football noises here!!!”

For those non-Ryan Adams-ologists, Blackhole is the name of a long rumored collection of unreleased material supposedly recorded prior to the musician’s 2007 release of Easy Tiger. There had been some speculation on the internet that the release would be part of a yet-to-be-released box set, however, details regarding that haven been non-existent since November 2008.

Recently, Adams also uploaded a video titled “Why Does This Come Out LeftHanded?”, which may offer a taste of what’s to come. That said, no timetable or additional specifics for the release of Blackhole have been shared.
