This June 5th, the legendary Roots will bring themselves and a bunch of their fellow musicians/friends to Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the third annual Roots Picnic. As has been the case the previous two years, this year’s lineup features an collective mix of genres, as the likes of Vampire Weekend, The Very Best, Pattern is Movement, tUnE-YarDs, Mayer Hawthrone & The County with hip-hop heavyweights Clipse, Das Racist and Nneka. All this is without mentioning a collaborative performance between The Roots’ ?uestlove and DJ Jazzy Jeff, and, in the obvious highlight of the weekend, The Roots will be performing with Run DMC.
