Greenhornes aim for summer release date

While Cincinnati’s Greenhornes may not be a household-name or garner much radio play, the trio’s musicianship has been heard by anyone concerned with modern rock music.  Bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keener were both recruited for Jack White’s various projects (the Do-Whaters, The Raconteurs) with Lawrence continuing onto The Dead Weather and finding the time and energy to provide back-up support for Karen O’s Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack. Now, with production finished for the upcoming Dead Weather release Sea of Cowards, and White busy with his other projects, the Greenhornes are now regrouping to release their fifth album, and first since the 2005.

According to Lawrence, via Twentyfourbit, “We’re trying to get it out this summer hopefully. We’re getting a couple shows lined up too. There’s already one that we’re going to do in New York.”

Currently no details have surfaced about a track-listing or other possible tour cities and dates, but check back often as we are currently in search of any information regarding the Greenhornes anticipated post-Raconteurs recordings.
