Last month was a big month for the spastic electronica band Holy Fuck. First they announced that they’d slimmed down to a proper four piece after two years of frantic touring across the globe with only their four-piece “touring line-up” in tow. Then, an oddball video chat teased fans with the band’s upcoming plans for their junior album entitled Latin and that it had plans to debut a few of the new tracks at this year’s SXSW (YouTube search time!). And now it finally seems that Latin has actually come to fruition, as it’s now been given a confirmed release date of May 11th and the band has announced a small list of U.S. tour dates following its release.
Until then, Holy Fuck will be putting on a very special preview performance of the album in New York on April 23rd before briefly heading to Europe. The U.S. leg of their tour will start at the end of May and continue on through early-mid June.
Latin was recorded in a barn somewhere in rural Ontario where songs were cut live off the floor of the barn. Holy Fuck once again showcases their unique blend of dynamic electro-noise pop tracks on Latin while also showing us their ability to continuously improve and modify their already eclectic sound.
