— White Stripes/Raconteurs/Dead Weather leader and all around music god Jack White tells The Guardian that he may soon be turning his focus back to The White Stripes. According to Jack, White Stripes bandmate/big sister Meg White has recovered from the anxiety problem that caused the group to cancel a string of gigs in 2007 and ultimately go on a now three year hiatus.
Explains Jack, “I don’t think her anxiety exists anymore, but I don’t know. She was there when we were rehearsing for The Dead Weather, and (my wife) Karen Elson’s band was rehearsing in the next building… She is still involved and everything.”
Jack cautioned that the he and Meg have yet to discuss upcoming plans, however, when asked if he is ready to to revive the band, he answered, “I would like to.” Virtual high five!
