Peter Hook celebrates Unknown Pleasures!

Last month, we discussed how Peter Hook planned to hit the road for a rare spoken word tour. That’s still happening, don’t worry. However, in addition to this road trip, Hook intends to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Joy Division’s landmark debut, 1979’s Unknown Pleasures.

The event, being billed as “An Evening of Unknown Pleasures“, sees the former Joy Division bassist also celebrating the late frontman Ian Curtis. It all goes down May 18th, the same date Curtis took his own life, at Hook’s nightclub, FAC 51 in Manchester, UK. NME reports that Hook, “will be joined by a host of guests.” Who that alludes to is anyone’s guess, but regardless, this is one event not to be missed — especially if you’re in the area.
