Stream: Soundgarden’s first show in 13 years

I think it’s safe to say that between Coachella, Record Store Day, Soundgarden’s comeback show, and everything else that happened, this past weekend proved to be pretty epic. The one downside of course is that physics prevent one from being in more than one place at once, so unless you known something I don’t, I’m not sure many people reading this post were able to participate in all of the aforementioned events.

Good news, though! Because of the Internet, webcasts exists, as do streams, and, as a result, we don’t actually have to be present to listen to Hova deuting with Beyonce, The Dead Weather debuting new songs, or the recently reunited Soundgarden wailing away at this first show in over 13 years. We already brought you the first two examples and now, courtesy of some friendly YouTube’er, we can also bring you the third.

Click here to find streams of each of the 18 songs performed by Soundgarden this past Friday at the Showbox in Seattle. (Below, we included clips of “Spoonman” and a cover of The Doors’ “Waiting For The Sun” for your listening pleasures.) While listening we also recommend you read Travis Hay’s review of the show. According to him, Friday’s show was “on par” with Soundgarden performances of the past. Good news, Lollapalooza.
