T.I.’s King Uncaged this summer, readies mixtape

The race to T.I.‘s new album has been one of tiny steps. So far, we know it’s out August 24th and it will probably feature his latest track, “I’m Back”. And if you thought this time around you’d get something more substantial, guess again. According to XXLMag.com, T.I.P.’s label, Atlantic Records, won’t confirm the collaborators but was kind enough to pass along a title: King Uncaged. Fitting, no?

While it’s no tracklist or another confirmed song, there’s more. Just Blaze, who has worked with T.I. in the past on hits like “Live Your Life”, confirmed he’s spent time in the studio with the recently released MC. And while it’s no album, DJ Drama did confirm that the Atlanta rapper will release a mixtape entitled Fuck A Mixtape. No tracklist or release date, but Drama did reveal the recently incarcerated Lil Wayne will appear.

“He was doing his pushups and his situps, [and] now we about to have the streets in a frenzy,” Drama told XXL. “I’ll just put it to you like this, Bankhead Zone One is gonna love this.”

More news on the mixtape as it becomes available. King Uncaged hits stories August 24th via Atlantic Records.
