I think it is safe to say most of us agree on these two things: 1.) Conan O’Brien is awesome and 2.) Radiohead is awesome. So, when you combine the two together, as the new king of late night TBS television recently did when he covered Thom and co.’s “Creep”, the results are nothing short of fantastic.
As TwentyFourBit discovered, O’Brien performed his rendition of the Radiohead classic during night one of “The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour.” Other highlights from the evening included covers of Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again”, Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive”, and Curtis Mayfield’s “Move On Up”, appearances from the Masturbating Bear and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, and a performance from Spoon. But, based on O’Brien’s thrilling imitation of Yorke (you’ll see what I mean soon enough), I think it’s safe to say the “Creep” cover wins hands down.
