Woodsist brings summer festivals to the west coast

Warwick, New York label Woodsist has until now concentrated mainly on East Coast projects. This June, however, the label will be bringing Californians a couple of new mini-festivals — one in Los Angeles and one in Big Sur.

Woodsist Fest Big Sur is sponsored by (((folkYEAH!))) and takes place Saturday, June 12th at the Henry Miller Library, while Woodsist Fest L.A. goes down the following Tuesday at both the Echo and the Echoplex. The former will feature The Fresh and Onlys and Moon Duo, among others; exclusive to the latter will be L.A.’s Abe Vigoda and All Saints Day, that new collaboration between members of Vivian Girls and Cat Power. Acts appearing at both festivals include Real Estate, The Art Museums, Woods, Kurt Vile, and The Mantles. Full lineups below.

The Big Sur fest, lasting from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., is around $30, while the L.A. date is a wallet-thinning $10, and begins at 8:30 p.m. Get tickets for Big Sur here and L.A. here. For more information and camping options for Big Sur, check out the Woodsist blog.
