Many of the headlines appearing in the Consequence of Sound news section feature the phrase “North American tour”. Of course, many of these tours are nothing more than a U.S. trek w/ a few Canadian dates here or there, or an endeavor that favors one particular part of the continent. When it comes to Boris’ newly announced tour, however, “North American tour” truly does apply.
Starting July 24th in San Diego, the Japanese pysch rock quartet will begin what is a month of non-stop touring. Between the 24th and August 28th, Boris will travel across California, Texas, and Florida, head up the U.S. east coast, makes its way through Canada and the U.S. mid-west, then Canada again, all before coming to the a halt on the west coast. Boris will cap off its North American visit with a September 5th appearance at ATP New York, where it will join Sunn O))) for a performance of their 2006 collaborative album Altar.
Boris also promises more tour dates as well as news regarding upcoming releases. So stay tuned.
