We’re starting to think these plastic rock ‘n’ roll games are becoming a dime a dozen. Aerosmith? Metallica? Van Halen? The Beatles? Green Day? How about those tentative Hendrix and Who-inspired releases, too? They’re all rocking your local Game Stop these days. However, if rumors ring true, the Red Hot Chili Peppers might be adding its own spice to the table.
Video gaming site Kotaku received a survey from Activision “gauging interest in a Guitar Hero: Red Hot Chili Peppers concept.” According to their report, the survey notes:
“Celebrate the entirety of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ life, starting with their early days in LA, to their famous Hyde Park concert to their highly anticipated new studio album,” notes the purported survey. “Discover the story behind their legendary music as you unlock interviews, retrospectives, concert footage and other commentary.”
It all makes sense — considering how much of a promotional push it’d be for the new album — but the site still lists it all as a rumor. We’ll keep you updated, but start penciling it in for that Christmas list of yours. Yeah, never too early for that.
Note: We’d really, really, really like a Peter, Paul, and Mary game, ya’ll! It’s ’bout time.
