The news that Rilo Kiley front-woman and celebrated solo artist is currently working on a collaboration with boyfriend J0nathan Rice on a new album will probably strike most people as a good thing. Maybe I’m alone here, but I see any news involving Jenny Lewis’ boyfriend as a bad thing, unless the news is “Jenny Lewis leaves boyfriend for music blogger.” A boy can dream, right?
Spinner reports that the cutesy couple are calling their project Jenny and Johnny and have lined up dates in Brooklyn, Boston and Philly, two of which are with Pavement. This will not be the first time the two have worked together, as both have appeared on the others solo album. So the guy girl duo trend will continue on it seems, let’s hope this is more She & Him and less Swell Season.
