It’s here.
After months of turmoil, speculation, aggrandizing, and arguably egregious soundtrack producing, we’ve got the name and first (fish-eye) view of ex-Oasis front-man Liam Gallagher’s new band: Beady Eye.
The band, comprised of Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock, all former members of Oasis, is currently in the studio working with Steve Lillywhite, who has previously worked with U2, The La’s, Morrissey, et al. No release date or tour dates are available at this time, but we will keep you updated.
The band released one little statement (via Mojo)., saying that they’re “working on their way of looking at the world.” Which, apparently, they’re also watching a lot of old pro skateboarding movies.
Noel Gallagher has thus far remained silent, though it appears that the Brothers Gallagher will have to be sharing custody of Gem Archer for their respective side projects, as Noel previously stated that Archer will be touring with him. We’re sure they’ll reach an amiable compromise, as these two lovable brothers are wont to do.
