Arcade Fire's The Suburbs to feature 16 tracks

Having already received its titled (The Suburbs), album art (see to your right), release date (Aug. 3rd), and first single(s) (at least, in stream form), the only real detail we’re missing from Arcade Fire‘s hotly anticipated third studio album is a tracklist. Well, thanks to a posting on Universal Music’s website (via AF Tube), you can now cross that detail of this list too.

The Suburbs will feature 16 tracks, including the first US and UK singles, titled “Ready to Start” and “We Used to Wait”, respectively. The previously unveiled title track and “Month of May” — aka the two songs previously packaged on a limited edition 7″ — as we as “Rococo”, “Empty Room”, “City With No Children”,  and “Modern Many”, all of which have been performed live in recent weeks. Also worth mentioning are the presence of three songs — “The Suburbs”, “Half Light”, and “Sprawl” — that are each broken up into two parts. Particularity in regards to “The Suburbs”, part one will open the album, while part two will marks its end.

Find the complete tracklist below. Because this is from Universal Music UK, there’s a chance the US release of The Suburbs might have a separate song ordering, however, confirmation from the band’s representation was not available as of press time. Update: The band has confirmed the listing will be the same on both the UK and US releases.

The Suburbs is due for release on August 3rd via Merge and buying is recommended. But then again, you’ve probably known that for three years now.

Also, on a cool side note, the Universal Music website also included this previously unseen, Suburbs-friendly artwork:
