Ben Harper & Relentless7, Jason Mraz head inaugural Life is good Festival

Say hello to the Life is good Festival, a brand new music extravaganza put on by Superfly Productions, aka the folks also behind Bonnaroo and Outside Lands. Set to take place from September 11-12 on a scenic 40 acre farm at the base of The Blue Hills in Canton, Massachusetts, the festival is billed as a “two-day celebration of music and optimism, featuring three stages of diverse live music, hands-on games, interactive arts activities and the ‘Good Kids’ zone — home to the top acts in kids entertainment.” Basically, fun for the entire family.

Specifically as it relates to the music portion of the festival, this year’s bill is led by Ben Harper & Relentless7, Jason Mraz, Ziggy Marley, and Guster. Also performing will be Galactic, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Ozomatli, Dr. Dog, Brett Dennen, Mavis Staples, Donavon Frankenreiter, Trombone Short & Orleans Avenue, Sierra Leone Refugee Allstars, and Toubab Krewe. OK Go and They Might Be Giants will both play two sets during the weekend, the latter of which will play on the “Good Kids Stage.”

Other Life is good ’10 activities includes a dog show, batting cages, train rides, face painting, and The Art for All Mural, which is a one-of-a-kind community art project that unites festival attendees and gives everyone a chance to make their own unique mark on the festival’s design.

Tickets will go on sale Thursday, June 17th at 10 AM EST. One hundred percent of Life is good’s festival profits will go towards The Life is good Kids Foundation, helping kids who are facing life-threatening conditions, including the trauma of violence, poverty, and loss.
