Bob Dylan being named as a headliner at this year’s Bumbershoot is big if not wholly predictable news (it should be a federal law Dylan headlines at least one U.S. festival each year). But what’s particularly exciting about his headlining gig is fans who can’t make it to Seattle this September 4th can check out the legend as he tours tours the North American west coast in the days proceeding the Bumbershoot gig.
Following a slew of European summer tour dates, Dylan will return stateside on August 4th with a performance in Austin, Texas. From there, he’ll head west, stopping at locations like Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Park City, Utah, and and even rock and roll central, Stateline, Nevada. Currently, his travels are set to conclude at Bumbershoot on September 4th, but, according to Jambase, even more dates are still forthcoming.
Heartland rocker John Mellencamp will open select dates. Ticket pre-sales will begin Wednesday, June 23rd. A general on sale will follow starting Saturday, June 26th. Visit Ticketmaster.com for exact specifics.
