Hot Water Music has had a turbulent half decade or so. After releasing 2004’s massively successful The New What Next, the Gainesville, Florida based punk band decided to disband in 2006. However, just two years later, Hot Water Music reunited for the b-sides and rarities collection Till the Wheels Fall Off, and now that they’ve also begun playing shows together again, it was only inevitable that they’d announce a new album.
According to Punknews.org, fans who’ve caught the band live in the last few weeks have been inundating the site with the announcement from lead singer Chuck Ragan and, thanks to some fact checking by Punknews, it can be confirmed that said fans were telling the truth. The band is indeed hard at work on a new full-length.
No other details are currently, but we’ll let you know when we know. In the meantime, check out the band at the Sled Island Festival this coming weekend.
