The sounds of Wicked‘s “Popular” might be the last thing in the world you’d expect to hear on Kanye West‘s forthcoming fifth LP Good Ass Job, but, as a newly posted YouTube reveals (via Vulture), the Chicago rapper has at least been toying with the idea during his recent studio sessions in Hawaii. Kanye has yet to detail the album so we don’t know if a Wicked sampling will be included, but for those holding out hope, do consider the idea of “popularity” would gel very well with the anti-power/anti-Kanye sentiment heard on the album’s previously released first single.
