I’m not sure what to make of “Steppin Up”, the latest song to leak from M.I.A.‘s repertoire, other than that it is noisy and features quite a bit of name checks. We also don’t know where it comes from — it wasn’t included on the previously announced tracklist for / / / Y /. But all that being said, it’s infinitely times better than “I’m A Singer”/”Haters” and we posted that, so we might as well post this as well. Check out the stream below, via Vulture:
Update: And the M.I.A.-palooza continues. Tonight we once again learn that when you add Jay-Z to anything, it becomes way better. Case in point the newly unearthed Hova-featuring remix of / / / Y /‘s first single “XXXO” (via 2dopeboyz).
