If you haven’t read our new feature “35 More Albums to Buy in 2010,” here is a teaser: Menomena‘s forthcoming LP Mines is included. So, under that assumption, it’s probably pretty good news that the Portland outfit has just announced a new North American tour in support of the release.
The trek launches on September 10th in Seattle and will keep Menomena on the road through mid-October. Following Seattle, the band will head south before turning east and hitting the midwest. East coast dates will run from late September to early October and then Menomena will cap it all off by heading back west for dates in Colorado, Utah, and Idaho.
Tickets are available starting this Friday, June 11th via Ticketmaster.com.
Meanwhile, Menomena is currently accepting pre-orders for Mines and its various configurations. Fans who pick up the album through either Barsuk or City Slang can also grab a double 7″ single, which is limited to 1000 numbered copies and includes the non-album tracks “Copious” and “Let Me Know”, as well as limited-edition, hand-numbered, glow-in-the-dark, screen-printed posters and t-shirts. Mines is due for release on July 27th.
