The thing about Vampires is: they hibernate. Or sleep in coffins, or whatever, I don’t really know. And when the clock strikes the witching hour, these creatures awake from their slumbers and feast on the blood of mortals caught unawares under the guise of the night’s dank shroud. I think. Again, I don’t really know. But what I do know is that premiere vampiric frontman Peter Murphy will don the fangs and appear in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in a “central cameo appearance” as “The Cold One”.
And if that’s not the most opportune way to re-enter the spotlight in support of his music career, I don’t know what is. Murphy will also be hitting the road this summer on is Dirty Dirt Tour, which kicks off July 29th in France. You can check out the dates below. Unfortunately, he doesn’t set a foot on American soil, but more tour dates will be announced soon as Murphy finishes work on his ninth studio album, Ninth.
“I have had my Ninth album ready to go for a while now,” Peter explains. “I’ve been playing it live–alongside Bauhaus classics and my own hits–long before the official release and it’s added more stardust to the long shelf life of songs I have under my belt.” The album is slated for release this fall.
