Porcupine Tree, Coheed and Cambria to co-headline summer tour

Porcupine Tree surprised some hipsters and melted some faces at Coachella in April, not to mention on the band’s sold-out spring tour surrounding it. Steven Wilson and co. will carry that momentum with them this August as they join fellow progressive rockers Coheed and Cambria (a band that also melted faces later in the same day, as well as part of the roof) on a 12-date co-headlining U.S. tour.

Porcupine Tree is still touring off its very successful 2009 concept album The Incident, while Coheed continues its support for Year of the Black Rainbow, which is also an album.

Following various international festival engagements for both bands and a Porcupine Tree solo show at San Francisco’s Warfield on August 10th, Coheed and Cambria will join the P-Tree at the Hollywood Palladium two days later. The following week includes dates in San Diego, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, El Paso, and San Antonio. They’ll stay in the South for a couple more days before rounding out the tour in the Midwest. The swan song is an August 26th gig at Cleveland’s Nautica Pavilion.

Tickets are available starting today. You can nab them then on Ticketmaster.
