Did you hear that? It was a collective sigh of relief from every American Slash fan, now that the guitar god has finally unveiled U.S. tour dates and his long awaited touring band. A tour which could have easily been pushed back by a crazed Italian fan, had security not responded so quickly.
Slash will still make stops in the UK, Asia, and Australia before commencing North American dates at the end of August. He is currently being backed by Todd Kerns (bass), Bobby Schneck (rhythm guitar), Brent Fitz (drums), and the previously announced vocalist Myles Kennedy (of Alter Bridge).
So far, 18 North American dates have been announced, set to run from late August to early October. The trek will kick off in San Francisco on August 28th and includes stops in both regular touring stops — Denver, Chicago, and New York — and often forgotten towns — Windsor, ON, Council Bluffs, IA, and Medina, MN to name a few. Plus, on stops in Mt. Pleasant, Chi-Town, and Windsor, Slash will be joined by none other than Billy Idol.
As of now, Slash’s travels are set to end on October 2nd in Seattle, but with a few noticeable gaps on the itinerary, we’re guessing even more dates will pop up soon.
