Let me pull back the curtain for a second. A musician’s press release is usually composed of a brief, romanticized history of the artist, followed by an exaggerated description of the new album and/or tour. They make every artist seem like the singular most-important musician in history. But, they are useful. Within the often ridiculous hyperbole lies actual facts. When the album will be released. What guest musicians appear on it. And on and on…
A.A. Bondy, the folky singer-songwriter and former Verbena frontman, doesn’t seem to believe in this. Here, in full, is the press release for his upcoming fall tour. Poetic line breaks maintained.
