Following in the footsteps of Panda Bear, the other members who make up Animal Collective are using the band’s current hiatus to focus their attention on solo projects.
Just a month after Panda Bear’s Tomboy is slated to drop, AnCo’s personal imprint, Paw Tracks, will offer the debut solo album from frontman Avey Tare. According to Pitchfork, the nine-song Down There will be available starting October 26th. (That’s the album’s artwork to your right; tracklist below).
However, the fun/weirdness doesn’t stop there. While limited to only a few dates and trip to Africa thus far, the solo endeavors of Deakin will also ramp up this fall, as the AnCo multi-instrumentalist has mapped out a few dates across North America for September. Included will be an appearance at the Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh, NC and dates with Paw Tracks protege Prince Rama. Confirmed list of dates follows.
