While Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti‘s latest effort Before Today might not have necessarily caught out ears, the fact remains the LA based chill wavers remain one hot buzz band. So much so that they’ve just added another leg to they’re already announced summer/fall North American tour and it includes an opening stint for none other than fellow psychedelic freaks The Flaming Lips.
The newest leg of dates commence following Ariel Pink’s July – early August trek through America and a subsequent month long break. Currently, a September 4th appearance at the Los Angeles based FYF Fest will serve as the launching point with the band then hitting cities across the west coast starting on September 11th. One week later, on September 17th, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti will hitch up with The Flaming Lips for a nine-date swing, most of which will be focused in western Canada and the northwest US. An appearance at the Victoria, BC based Rifflandia Festival is also on the itinerary.
