I couldn’t be more surprised or amazed by the amount of deserved success Atmosphere has achieved over the years, and they just seem to keep getting bigger. Slug writes amazingly personal lyrics and has both a real respect for the roots of hiphop and a seemingly tireless work ethic. So, as another round of Atmosphere tour dates hit the news wire, you might be surprised to see the venue size changing, but you might not get to see them at these small venues for much longer either.
This fall, Atmosphere, along with fellow Rhymesayers artists Blueprint, Grieves & Budo, and DJ Rare Groove, will embark on the To All My Friends Tour, hitting up often-neglected areas of the North along with the usual suspects Los Angeles, SLC (Winston!), and Chicago. The sets Atmosphere puts out are consistent, featuring a knowledgeable blend of old and new material, and are sure to please both the rabid fan (there are a lot of you) and the newcomers.
