Lorin Ashton, aka Bassnectar, is like a musically gifted roaming gnome; you just never know where you might find the guy performing his self-described “omni-tempo maximalism.” During the last decade, he’s been spotted behind the turntables in the middle of the California desert, in Michigan’s wilderness, at former laundry mats (Miami’s (305) music lounge), and just about every other place that has a decent PA system. So what’s the easiest way to track this electronic enigma? Stand perfectly still and feel for ground-rattling beats or just continue reading.
Following Bassnectar’s already announced festival performances at Wanderlust, Outside Lands, Mile High, and Electric Zoo, he heads south to Jacksonville, FL, to begin the fall tour on September 14th. The endeavor then weaves through the US, with stops in Miami Beach, Raleigh, Nashville, New Orleans, Dallas, LA, Milwaukee, Washington, DC, and many more. After performing 25 shows in just over a month and a half, the tour concludes November 5th at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory.
Several guests will accompany Ashton during the tour, and they will be revealed as dates approach.
