While we anxiously await for Portishead to come back to the States (hello November 13th?) and release that new album, there’s more immediate Portishead-related stuff to look forward to. The lucky bunch who made it to Glastonbury will attest that Geoff Barrow’s side project Beak> is worth your time, and New Yorkers and San Franciscans will soon be able to say the same.
As BrooklynVegan reports, Beak> has announced two shows, one in S.F. and a N.Y. show the day preceding the band’s appearance at ATP New York. The S.F. show takes place September 7th at The Independent, while the N.Y. performance happens September 3rd at the Bowery Ballroom.
Tickets for the former are already on sale on TicketWeb, and the latter goes on sale today at noon on Ticketmaster.
