“Blue As Your Blood”, the second track to be revealed off The Walkmen‘s forthcoming Lisbon, is more in line with what we expect to hear when the record is unveiled on September 14th. While “Stranded” is defined by its lush horn section, “Blue As Your Blood” sees multiple elements working together, specifically thde galloping guitar, rich orchestra, and frontman Hamilton Leithhauser’s tale of heartbreak. A perfect example, you could say, of the band’s official description of the album: “Featuring the band’s signature vintage instrument-sound, Lisbon brings a raw, fiery rock ‘n’ roll spirit to the complexities of the You & Me songwriting.”
