“Stranded” is our first taste from The Walkmen‘s forthcoming LP Lisbon and while the band describes the overall product as Elvis inspired, vocally loud, and featuring simple instrumentation, the track is anything but that. It features lush horns and a sound which frontman Hamilton Leithauser says is more on par “with our last record, You & Me, than a lot of the other songs on Lisbon.” Still, it’s a preview of one of 35 albums we recommend you buy and, by streams end, you’ll be glad you pressed play.
