Corin Tucker details new album, more tour dates

Former Sleater-Kinney frontwoman Corin Tucker is now a stay-at-home mom with two kids, a far cry from the Riot Grrrl she once was with her old band mates. As we previously reported, her solo debut seeks to tell some good stories about ghosts, sadness, reinvention and rebirth. Expect the bridge between punk rock to “middle-age mom” to be crossed on her debut record now, titled 1,000 Years (via Pitchfork).

As the album art work implies, Tucker is releasing it under The Corin Tucker Band most likely because Seth Lorinczi of The Golden Bears and Sara Lund of Hungry Ghost and Unwound lent their talents to the album on the bass and drums, respectively. Check out the tracklist below.

Corin will also embark on a few west coast dates in support of the album, as well as a Boston and New York date later in October. West coast dates are onsale now and tickets for the east coast dates go on sale this Saturday the 17th at Ticketmaster.com. All dates are listed below.
