Gov’t Mule gears up for new releases, more touring

With the summer heat as oppressive as ever, Gov’t Mule is already getting into the holiday spirit. The blues/rock/jam outfit has appeared on the recently released 2001 Christmas jam-show Warren Haynes Presents: The Benefit Concert Volume 3, begun traveling the nation giving friends and family amazing live performances, and announced an August 3rd release for Mulennium, their complete 1999-2000 New Year’s Eve performance.

Leader, and current Allman Brother, Warren Haynes doesn’t do any of this without some pretty legendary company. The two-disc Warren Haynes Presents features performances by Edwin McCain, Blues Traveler, Phil Lesh, and Robert Randolph.  Mulennium, originally recorded December 31st and January 1st in Atlanta, contains three discs featuring Little Milton, Audley Freed, and Robert Kearns. Additional track information and pre-orders are available via Evil Teen records. View both track listings below.

Jackie Greene will provide support for most of the current tour, which continues July 24th in Louisville, excluding late July when Haynes and Co. will be the opening act for Dave Matthews in Florida. Trombone Shorty, The Avett Brothers, and Truth and Savage Co. will make special appearances as the tour heads west. The tour currently is set to conclude September 5th in Nevada at the Taos Mountain Music Festival. Dates have yet to be added in Greene’s home state of California.

A complete list of tour dates follows. Tickets to most dates can be found on Ticketmaster.
