As we reported previously, Arizona alt-rockers Jimmy Eat World are due to release their seventh studio album, Invented, on September 28th via Interscope. The band have once again teamed up with producer Mark Trombino for the new record, renewing a partnership that first came to prominence on 2001’s critically acclaimed breakthrough album Bleed American.
Now, to make sure the whole world (or a big chunk of it) hears said album, they’ll be embarking on a North American tour starting September 21st in Atlanta, GA. The tour encompasses both the East and West coasts and also features stops in Denver, Omaha, Milwaukee, and Chicago amongst other towns, before heading over the border to Toronto for the final date on October 17th. Support on the tour comes from fellow Arizona native Courtney Marie Andrews, who also provides some backing vocals on the new album.
The more eagle-eyed fans amongst you may note a distinct lack of any Arizona dates. Fear not, people; there’s no boycott here. The band have stated via their Twitter account that there would be an announcement forthcoming regarding an Arizona date. Check back with us for more details as they become available.
In the meantime, head on over to the band’s official website for the pre-sale tickets, which opens on July 29th. Tickets are also available from Ticketmaster. As an extra treat, we also have the full tracklist of the album, as well as the tour dates we know about so far, for your perusal.
