This past spring, Sigur Rós’ Jónsi supported his superb solo debut with an equally superb North American tour. The one downside, however, was the limited tour dates the Icelandic frontman turned solo extraordinaire offered our find continent. Needless to say, the following comes as good news.
Following trips to Australia and Japan in early August and an extensive tour of Europe from mid August until mid September, Jónsi will return stateside in mid-October. The trek begins on the 15th of that month in San Diego and will then see the him hitting other cities throughout the west coast before making his way into Texas and then the midwest. Included will be appearances at both the New Orleans based Voodoo Experience and Asheville based MoogFest music festivals over the Halloween week. He’ll then wrap it all up with a couple of east coast dates, capping off on November 10th in New York.
