— Public Image, Ltd. frontman John Lydon makes the surprising revelation (via The Guardian) that James Murphy and LCD Soundsystem are the ones behind the Public Image, Ltd. tour documentary currently in the works. And yes, to quote Murphy, really, this is happening. As previously reported, the Alex Mar directed film was recorded at the band’s May 19th performance at Brooklyns Music Hall of Williamsburg.
Details currently stop there, but we’ll update you when we learn more details about the project and/or why LCD Soundsystem chose to throw their weight behind it.
