As previously reported, Matador Records is throwing one hell of a 21st birthday party this coming October in Las Vegas, complete with Pavement, Belle & Sebastian, a Guided by Voices reunion, and plenty more.
What we didn’t tell you at the time, however, is how interested parties would be able attend. Well, here you go:
Tickets for Matador at 21, which is set to run from October 1-3 at The Palms, will go on sale starting Friday, July 9th at 9:00 AM PST. An initial quantity of tickets will be sold at $199.00. When those sell out, the price will then raise to $225.00. Also on July 9th, prospective attendees can reserve standard rooms at The Palms for the discounted rate of $99 per night (the full 3 nights of the festival, only). Matador stresses that tickets for the festival and the hotel rooms are being sold jointly and separate tickets to just the festival are not being sold at this time. Single day tickets are also not available.
Tickets will be available through ticketfly.com. A link is not yet available, but we’ll add it here when it is.
Matador also says additional acts will be revealed in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the label did confirm the original lineup of COME the Boston alt outfit featuring Thalia Zedek, Chris Brokaw, Sean OBrien and Arthur Johnson has been added to the bill.
Finally, Matador notes these shows will be open to all ages, so if there was ever a worry about introducing your 12 year old to Guide by Voices live and in person, there you go.
