The best way to describe the new MGMT album Congratulations is that they took the hopes and dreams of their fans and promptly tore them up and did whatever they wanted musically. And while that’s commendable as an artist, it did leave some fans feeling burned. Worry not, though, as the boys are doing a little bit extra for their fans with a new block of U.S. tour dates.
On top of their already hectic tour schedule, which will have them on the road through December 18th, MGMT scheduled nine new tour dates. After they wrap up in Paris on October 8th, and before heading back to Dusseldorf, DE on November 29th, they’ll play three gigs in Florida and then shows in Oxford, MS, Atlanta, GA, Raleigh, NC, and Nashville, TN. They’ll also make appearances at the New Orleans based Voodoo Experience and Asheville, North Carolina based MoogFest. So, if you live in the South or plan on being there from October 25th through early November, don’t say MGMT never did anything for you.
