The Mighty Mighty Bosstones book eight dates this summer

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are on the road again, this time for a mini-tour that excludes their hometown Boston, of all places. According to BrooklynVegan, the aging ska band has booked a week and a half of U.S. dates from one coast to the other.

The Bosstones’ website reveals the tour, in support of last year’s Pin Points and Gin Joints, is focused on places they “haven’t been to in a really long time.” The impression that I would normally get (sorry) from that information is that the band is headed for places like Omaha, Ft. Lauderdale, or whatever city there is in Delaware, but this is not the case. This tour kicks off August 19th in Hollywood and also makes stops in other out of the way watering holes like Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Detroit, and New York City. However, those dates are surrounded by gigs in smaller markets like Buffalo and Allentown, Pennsylvania. Furthermore, the tour comes to cessation in Milwaukee on the 28th.

Supporting the Bosstones everywhere except L.A. will be a couple of punk bands called Teenage Bottlerocket and The Flatliners. Tickets are currently available right over here.

Also, we recently learned the band is confirmed to take part in this year’s Riot Fest. Set to take over Chicago’s many music venues between October 6-10, this year’s lineup will see the Bosstones play alongside the likes of Bad Religion, Circle Jerks, and Articles of Faith among others.
