Watch: Dave Grohl helps Pearl Jam "Kick out the Jams"

If you’re Pearl Jam and you know Dave Grohl is at Werchter Festival, hanging out backstage, why not just bring him on stage? It’s a shame guest spots aren’t always this prevalent at festivals.

According to Grunge Report, Grohl joined Pearl Jam on stage at last weekend’s Werchter Festival in Belgium for their second encore, during a cover of the MC5 song “Kick out the Jams.” Grohl stayed in the background behind the drum kit beating a tambourine and was joined by Them Crooked Vultures’ guitarist Alain Johannes. Of course, being a drummer at heart, Grohl eventually picked up a pair of sticks to join Matt Cameron already on a kit, before the sky erupted in fireworks.

Watch the whole thing below. And yes, you could say Grohl beats the tambourine like he’s had his dose of Fresh Pots
