Wavves crash across North America

He’ll have to pry himself from the bag of Doritos and  give up the Playstation for a bit because Wavves singer Nathan Williams has an album to support. Released digitally this, King of the Beach arrives just in time to rope in the meaty part of the summer, aka July. But if there’s one thing his California lo-fi punk outfit does right, it’s knowing how to party.

And party we will, but only a few of us. While more dates are probable, as of now, Williams has a short but sweet itinerary ahead of him. Starting with a shindig in Chicago – you know, that lil’ festival called Lollapalooza – Wavves will retreat back to the sunny confines of our wonderful, trendy West coast.

Odds are the rest of North America will enjoy the summery sounds in the fall. After all, the guy’s gotta get his beach on, and there’s not a whole lot of good vibes going around over on the East coast – especially down in Florida. Very sad, but true. If you want, you can blame this guy.

Fingers crossed for Arizona, though.
